Native to Eastern Asia, this deciduous fern adds interest to a shade garden with its variegated fronds and reddish midribs. Like most ferns, it prefers shade and moisture, but it is relatively drought-tolerant once established. Plant in neutral to acidic soil. Spreads by rhizomes, but slowly — it takes some time to establish itself.
3-4 fronds, about 10″ long, in 4″ pot.
