City Harvest beds and collective beds are merged this year; donations to City Harvest will be a proportion of the produce of all the Collective beds.

Notes are in chronological order with the most recent entries first.

  • A1: Overwintered Egyptian walking onions, arugula, parsley and tarragon.
  • A2: 4/4 Lettuce and parsley starts (plan: tba, maybe malabar spinach)
  • A3: 6/6 Heavy insect damage. Sprayed with dipel. 6/2 Collard leaves harvested.4/26 Spinach harvestable. 4/4 Collard starts, 3/29 Dill seed, 2025:nOverwintered Calendula and spinach
  • A5: 5/12 Little leaf cukes planted. 4/4 Leeks starts, 3/22 Planted cut/come again lettuce on Wayne Ave side of bed. (Plan cukes)
  • A8: 3/14: hakurei turnips and beets planted (plan cukes)
  • A9: 5/12 Tomatoes planted: Bumblebee, sunpeach, sungold, black cherry, annarita, black krim. Overwintered cilantro
  • A11: 5/26 Trombocino squash planted in back of peas. 5/4/28 Lettuce harvestable. 4/4 lettuce starts, 3/12: snap peas planted; (plan trombocino and peanuts)

  • B11: 5/26 First fava harvest, 5/10 first fava beans appear. 4/18 first fava flowers. Favas (planted fall), no alliums (plan: cucurbits)
