It’s time to gather — both your crops and your neighbors! As many of our garden plots are producing at their highest rate, let’s come together and celebrate gardening at Hansberry with our monthly potluck at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017.
Local, affordable, organic produce will be for sale in Southwest Germantown on Sunday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Hansberry Garden and Nature Center’s Farm Stand.
The community work day previously scheduled for Aug. 19 has been rescheduled for Saturday, Aug. 26, from 9-11 a.m.

On monthly garden work days, members tend the common areas of the garden. Important maintenance tasks are available for all age ranges and abilities.
At our spring plant sale, scheduled this year for Saturday, May 13, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Hansberry Garden and Nature Center offers seedlings, potted plants, and cut flowers just in time for Mothers’ Day. It features native plants, which play a key role in keeping our ecosystem healthy.
Hansberry Garden and Nature Center and the Kelly Green Project will join good neighbors all over the city to pitch in to the 10th annual Philly Spring Cleanup hosted by the Streets Department on Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 9 a.m. to noon. Join us to help Southwest Germantown look its best!
