Chives, with a subtle oniony flavor, are a wonderful addition many dishes. They’re easy to grow and use: just plant them in a spot with full sun to partial shade, water them once a week or so, and snip off leaves to your heart’s content. And they’re perennials — you’ll see them again each spring. They can spread, so confine them to a pot if that worries you.
